Limited Sink Warranty
Copper Sinks will replace without charge, (excluding labor) any copper sink supplied by Copper Sinks that is
proven to be defective, with an equivalent replacement, within the specified appropriate period from date of
purchase, to the original owner, provided it has been used solely in a residential application and installed in
accordance with the Copper Sinks installation instructions, used and cleaned as recommended, and not damaged
due to abuse, misuse, or negligence.
Please be aware that all rustic sinks and tubs have a finish that is by nature uneven and variable in color and
pattern. In addition, the dimensions and consistency of shape can vary considerably. We offer these sinks and
tubs with the view that these variations are part of the rustic character and charm, and do not constitute defects.
Copper is also malleable. Materials that are malleable can be hammered or stretched or rolled into various shapes
with relative ease, while still maintaining their strength. Some metals, like copper, are also ductile, which means
they are flexible. Should your sink arrive with a bent edge, it can be hammered back into position with little
effort. Use a wooden or rubber mallet to straighten any edges that may have been altered in shipping.
(In the event of a warranty claim, the owner will be required to provide proof of purchase - save sales receipt.)
This warranty will not cover any damages which might be caused by the product. (Some states do not allow such
limitation, so this reference may not apply to you.)
Copper Sinks reserves the right to inspect any sink reported to be defective prior to replacement of the sink. All
decisions are final. Replacement cost
EXCLUDES transportation and any labor costs for the removal or
reinstallation.

Care and Maintenance Guide
Never use abrasives or soft scrub!!! Soap and Water Does the Trick
To protect the finish on copper sinks avoid using abrasive cleaners. No coarse, acidic, or
alcohol-based cleaners should be used. No Steel wool, Brillo pads, or wire brushes as they
can may scratch copper surfaces.
Clean with hot soapy water and scrub with a soft
nylon brush. For Tough stains try using a paste of baking soda and water applied with a
sponge. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth. Copper sinks can be used for all
normal household tasks but avoid prolonged surface exposure to acidic foods such as
tomato sauce and citrus products. If these products sit overnight in direct contact with
copper, the surface may discolor. Should the surface discolor, it will start to darken back
down with use. This darkening process time will depend on how much use the sink gets.
The more it is used, the faster the process.
The natural patina process may also be affected by mineral content in your water supply.
Removing any standing water with a soft cloth is recommended to prevent calcium staining
and mineral buildup.
Copper Sinks are hand formed from the finest quality copper available today. The Patinas
are created by a firing process and will change over time, developing more interest and
variations. A copper finish is a living finish and never really stops changing in color. You
can greatly reduce this change with the use of an auto (Paste) wax and or furniture oil such
as Pledge Lemon Oil. Sinks can also be sealed with olive oil (oils will darken and enrich
color somewhat. Use the auto wax a few times a year or the Lemon oil as often as you like.
Copper is more sanitary than any other sink material,
its antibacterial. Science shows us
bacteria can live for days on a stainless steel surface, but for only a matter of hours on
copper.
To keep sinks in pristine condition, dry after use.
To further age and patina a sink, dissolve a teaspoon of salt with 1/4 cup ammonia and
apply to sink. Let dry for half and hour, then wash with cold water and dry with a clean, soft
cloth. Repeat process to further patina. This process also works in areas that may have
been brightened or lightened.

Installation Recommendations
CAUTION! Unless you are an experienced plumber, do not attempt to install this unit yourself. It should
be installed by a licensed plumber or someone familiar with plumbing and sink installation.
Undermount Sink Installation Instructions for Wood or MDF Countertops
- CAUTION!: If this is a new installation, countertop cutout for sink should be measured by
subtracting 1/2" - 1" from the width and 1/2" - 1" from the length. This will allow a 1/4" - 1/2" drip
edge over the edge of the sink. If this is a replacement sink, skip to #3.
- Carefully make cutout in countertop material following manufacturers' instructions and precautions
if any when doing so. Pre-drill mounting holes in the top rim of the sink.
- Apply a liberal bead of sealer to the top of the copper rim. Attach sink base to the underside of the
countertop using galvanized screws.
- a. Installing Drain Assembly: Apply a 1/2" diameter bead of 30 year clear silicone (do not use
epoxy or plumbers putty) to the underside of the drain assembly rim and insert into the copper
sink. Underneath, the rubber gasket is applied first, followed by the cardboard gasket and finally
the threaded metal retaining ring. Carefully tighten to compress the silicone (do not use epoxy or
plumbers putty) until drain is fully seated in sink, at this point the sink base and liner are drawn
together. Do not over-tighten!
b. Installing Disposal Trim Ring Assembly: Apply a 1/2" diameter bead of 30 year clear silicone (do
not use epoxy or plumbers putty) to the underside of the trim ring assembly rim and insert into the
copper sink. Underneath, the rubber gasket is applied first, followed by the cardboard gasket and
finally the threaded metal retaining ring. Carefully tighten to compress the 30 year clear silicone
(do not use epoxy or plumbers putty) until trim ring is fully seated in sink and the sink base and
liner are drawn together. Do not over-tighten!
- When attaching the disposal to the trim ring, do not over-tighten the clamp band, which
attaches the disposal to the trim ring. The ring may crack or break into several pieces, which may
cause serious injury. Copperhead Sinks will not be liable for repair or replacements of any cracked
trim rings that are damaged in this manner.
Undermount Sink Installation Instructions for Stone Countertops

edge of the sink. If this is a replacement sink, skip to #3.
- Carefully make cutout in countertop material following manufacturers instructions and precautions if
any when doing so.
- Mount two rails across the inside of the sink base cabinet (1 x 3’s are fine) to support the base cabinet
in such a way that the top rim of the sink is 1/8" - 1/4" below the bottom of the finished stone countertop.
Apply a liberal bead of sealer to the top of the copper sink rim. Install Stone Countertop over sink.
- a. Installing Drain Assembly: Apply a 1/2" diameter bead of 30 year clear silicone (do not use epoxy or

any cracked trim rings that are damaged in this manner.
